Wattle Range Council is developing ten year Community Town Plans for each of the townships within its boundaries. These Town Plans will enable each community to develop a vision for each of our unique towns and take a more strategic approach to projects and initiatives over the ensuing ten years.
The public are invited to attend a Glencoe Community Town Plan meeting from 6 pm to 8.30 pm on Wednesday, 21 February 2018 in the Glencoe Football Clubrooms. Your input will be greatly valued.
While the information gathering session will be supported by Council staff, the Plan will be driven by the community. This initial meeting will help develop a Vision Statement for the township, highlight what makes Glencoe unique and what potential is available for the future.
Tables of people will examine subjects including assets and infrastructure needed for the township, marketing and promotional opportunities including the use of social media, and what events or celebrations could be held to bring visitors to the area. There will also be the opportunity for those attending to provide their thoughts on social and community needs for the township for the next ten years.
A light supper will be provided by the Glencoe Football Club.
For further information or to RSVP for catering purposes by Wednesday, 14 February 2018 please contact Sarah Marzec, Community Development Officer on 8733 0900 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
