The Wattle Range Council Photographic Exhibition is held annually in the Millicent Gallery, captures the vibrancy and diversity of the Wattle Range Region. Entries must be taken within the Council area and represent our region with an emphasis on People, Places, Business and Industry and Sport and Leisure.
Beginning in 2007 the exhibition has grown over the years into a very popular event that photographers from all over the region are excited about entering. With 10 categories and prizemoney of over $3000 the exhibition affords all photographers from the professional to the new photographer, the opportunity to showcase their photography and talent.
Photographs from the exhibition are selected to be published in the Wattle Range Council Calendar which is highly sought after every year. It is a fantastic way to have photographers’ talents put on display.
Images from this exhibition are also used (with the permission of the photographers) in promotional activities for Council such as banners, posters and brochures.
Entries for the 2019 Wattle Range Photographic Exhibition now are open with the opening night being Friday, June 21.
Held annually, the exhibition captures the vibrancy and diversity of the Wattle Range region and has proven to be a great opportunity for photographers to exhibit their images, as evident by the numbers who have entered.
This year a new category has been added: a category to celebrate the impressive water landscapes across Wattle Range: the Millicent Swimming Lake (Celebrating 50 years this year), the redeveloped Nangwarry and Penola Swimming Pools, Pool of Siloam, and the lakes and waterways of Glencoe, Beachport and throughout the district.
