Following on from last year’s highly successful event, organisers have recently released the 2015 Geltwood Festival workshop schedule and are looking forward to seeing the Festival continue to evolve.
The annual week-long craft festival, held in Millicent, opens on Friday 6 March and concludes on Sunday 15 March.
With a jam packed workshop and event schedule it is guaranteed to entice hundreds of craft enthusiasts and visitors to the region.
There will be something for everyone as the workshops aren’t solely focussed on quilting. Participants also able to take lessons in the arts of fabric making, book making and cake decorating.
Wattle Range Council Mayor Peter Gandolfi said: “It is great to see our town showcased in what has become a much anticipated event on the local calendar.”
“The town comes alive with colour and creativity and the entire community gets behind our local craftspeople in supporting the Festival.” he added.
Many of the visitors to the town will be participating in workshops. Local workshop coordinator Xenia Holland is again excited by the calibre of tutors who are booked to attend the event. “Registrations are now open for all of the fantastic workshops,” she said. “You don’t have to be an expert and we encourage novices or beginners to join us and have a go!”
