Nominations for the annual Wattle Range Council Senior of the Year award are now open.
The Senior of the Year Award is sponsored by the Wattle Range Council and forms part of Council’s National Celebrate Seniors Month program.
The Award will be a presented to a person 60 years of age or older who has made a noteworthy contribution during the current year, and/or given outstanding service over number of years, to a local community over and above employment duties.
“There are many senior members who are actively contributing to our community and now is the time to make sure they are celebrated” Council’s Chief Executive Officer, Ben Gower said.
Nomination Forms are available on Council’s website at www.wattlerange.sa.gov.au/celebrateseniors, at any of Council’s offices or the Millicent Library.
Completed Nominations must be received by Council on or before 5 pm on Monday, 8 October 2018, and can be posted to Wattle Range Council, PO Box 27, Millicent SA 5280, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. All nominations are confidential.
Presentation of the award will made at a function to be held at the Civic and Arts Centre, Ridge Terrace, Millicent, on Wednesday 31 October 2018, from 1.30 to 3.30 pm.
