Community comment is currently sought on the proposed project to provide disabled toilet facilities, incorporating a baby change area and disability access into and throughout Rymill Hall, Penola.
Rymill Hall is a significant community facility within the McCorquindale Park Complex in Penola that is in reasonably sound condition but is in need of some enhancements. One of the major issues to be addressed is to bring the building into conformity with legislation concerning disability access and appropriate disabled facilities.
“Council are in the process of developing a comprehensive Disability Access and Inclusion Plan and it is imperative that we ensure that Council’s facilities are able to be accessed by all. These upgrades are essential in bringing this widely used venue up to standard in this respect,” Council’s Chief Executive Officer, Ben Gower said.
