Nominations for the 2019 Wattle Range Council Senior of the Year are now open.
The award is sponsored by the Wattle Range Council and forms part of Council’s annual Celebrate Seniors program. The public are invited to nominate seniors, 60 years of age or older, who have made a noteworthy contribution to their community, either during the current year or over number of years.
“We take this opportunity to celebrate our seniors and their outstanding service to the Wattle Range region,” Mayor Des Noll says. “These valuable members of our communities have been actively contributing over many years and it is great that we can thank them through this type of recognition,” Mayor Noll adds.
Mayor Noll will present the award to this year’s recipient at the closing event of the 2019 Celebrate Seniors program, to be held at the Millicent Civic & Arts Centre on Thursday, October 31 at 1.30 pm. Admission is free.
Completed nominations must be received by Council before 5 pm on Monday, 7 October 2019, and can be handed in at the Council’s offices, posted to PO Box 27, Millicent SA 5280, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. All nominations are confidential.
