Over 30 stall holders will take part in the Market & Art Fair in Jubilee Park, Millicent from 2:30 until 6:30 pm this coming Saturday (23 November).
Held in conjunction with the Millicent Business Community Association's Millicent Lights-Up, which will be staged in the evening, the market has been planned to coincide with the Great Vic Bike Ride visit to Millicent.
The market will have something for all ages. Free activities for the kids, live music until 5pm, a wide variety of stalls so that you can shop until you drop, or simply relax with friends on a giant bean bag amongst the rose gardens.
Visitors can put their hand to decorating a bike at the Imagine Millicent stall or have a delicious treat from one of the food vendors. A giant colouring-in-wall will feature for the first time in the Limestone Coast.
With Christmas just over a month away Mayor Des Noll encourages people to consider this opportunity to start their gift shopping “Come along and purchase some Christmas presents with either the Millicent businesses who have decided to open on Saturday afternoon, or at the Market & Art Fair” he said.
Market & Art Fair Volunteer Coordinator, Sandra Skeer also encouraged the community to come along: “It’s really good to see all of the community coming on board and supporting this event” she said. “It is a great opportunity to support local artisans, crafts people and local businesses” Ms Skeer added.
