Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to meet people and become involved in the community. The Wattle Range Council provides opportunities for the community to volunteer at their Visitor Information Centres and Libraries throughout the council area.

 Why Volunteer?

People volunteer for many reasons. Volunteers:

  • Enjoy the contact they get with other people.
  • Have the opportunity to develop new skills.

  • Can increase confidence and self esteem.

  • Thrive on a new challenge.
  • Find it opens new job networks.
  • Find that volunteer experience looks good on a job application.

If you are interested in volunteering at these centres please call the Millicent Public Library on (08) 87330903
