WAX Design, with the support of Wattle Range Council, is undertaking community consultation to understand what makes Millicent a great place and what opportunities exist to enhance the town centre in the future.

Wax Design was engaged by Council to develop the Millicent Main Street Masterplan and Placemaking Strategy after a selective tender process and have an extensive award-winning body of work.

The Masterplan and Placemaking Strategy project aims to enhance and protect the unique character of the town’s main street, encouraging increased activation, story-telling and cultural representation and providing a welcoming space for residents, businesses and visitors.

To gain an understanding of the town, the consultants would appreciate hearing from the community and receiving feedback from the people who live, work and visit Millicent.

The focus of the study is on the Millicent Town Centre area (see map to right), and the results of the survey will be used to prepare a draft design framework and concept plan to reflect the community’s vision for the town centre. The design framework will be made available for public comment before it is used to finalise the concept plan.

Community Design Workshops

Following on from the recent online community consultation survey, which explored what makes Millicent ‘a great place’ and what opportunities exist to enhance the Town Centre, WAX Design is now seeking community input and feedback to help develop the concept designs for Millicent. Interactive design workshops will be held from Tuesday 15 December to Wednesday 16 December. Please come and meet with the designers from WAX to discuss your ideas.
