Christmas Message from the Mayor
Christmas Greetings to you all
I write to you in the spirit of Christmas and of goodwill.
This is a time when we all reflect on a child that was born in a manger. The story of the wise men bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh and their search for the baby Jesus, the promised child. A beautiful reminder of why we celebrate Christmas.
Christmas is a time of giving, it is the time to share love, peace, and joy. This season we will give our attention to our loved ones and friends. We will give out gifts and hugs or give someone a seat at our table, there are so many things that we can give.
The festive season is here, and many of us will be fortunate enough to be able to spend time together this year after so many celebrations were cancelled during the pandemic. It has been my greatest pleasure to be able to connect with many of you in various settings and celebrate this joyous occasion.
Wattle Range Council is lucky to have many community groups, volunteers and businesses who all contribute to Wattle Range, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of you who supported our great towns in your own special way.
Over the past year Council has worked hard with local organisations as well as State and Federal Governments to promote investment, advocate and foster growth for our communities. The coming year of 2023 will undoubtedly hold challenges for us, but together we will strive to ensure the Council region is a safe and prosperous place for all to live and work.
On behalf of Councillors and Staff of the Wattle Range Council, I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe, healthy, and happy new year.
