Have you heard about Wattle Range Youth Engage?

Wattle Range Council has recently launched a brand-new Facebook page to assist in engaging with young people (aged 13-25) across the district.

The 2020 SA Youth Week program was unfortunately affected by the pandemic, so Council are now sharing content in a virtual way, with the support of its Youth Week collaborators. This exciting new platform has so far shared videos and a live event from local illustrator Aleesha Barton, as well as material from Headspace Mount Gambier.

Council’s Community Development Officer, Sarah Marzec said “Future posts scheduled to appear on the page will include yoga and mindfulness videos by Hayley Agnew, a beginners workshop by local photographer Steve Chapple, hip-hop fun dance session by MJ Dance Studios, cooking demonstrations by local chefs and more.

So even with social distancing and restrictions in place, our youth can still enjoy and explore the amazing local talent that we have in our district, and it’s all free.”
