Local industry and business leader named finalist in prestigious awards
A local industry and business leader has been named a finalist in the prestigious South Australian Premier's Food and Beverage Industry Awards, to be announced in Adelaide this Friday.
Ian Lines, Director of the well-known local hydroponic living herbs company Hollafresh Pty Ltd, has been acknowledged by the industry and is a finalist in the ‘Leaders’ category of the Awards.
Hollafresh was established in 1991 in Tantanoola and is now one of the larger employers in the Council area with a workforce exceeding 60. The company has always been at the forefront of innovative growing systems and energy solutions, including the recently commissioned Bio Char energy initiative.
Mayor Noll said, “Hollafresh’s protective controlled environment ensures freshness, cleanliness and uniformity in the product, and is a wonderful regional example of family passion and drive, proving that high quality produce can be produced in the regions for supply into National markets.”
“It’s great to see one of our own nominated for the Leaders Award, and we wish Ian well when the Awards are announced on Friday,” Mayor Noll concluded.
Mr. Lines recently featured in a series of promotional videos produced by Council to promote a number of local business innovators.
