Southern Ocean Tourist Park Essential Travel Only

The Southern Ocean Tourist Park and Wattle Range Council regretfully announce that from Friday, 27 March the caravan park will be open for essential travel only.

Due to the increased risk to ourselves, other guests and the general community, we believe it would be irresponsible of us to continue to encourage our guests to undertake non-essential travel at this time.

It is our understanding that ‘essential travel’ includes travel that is related to:

  • necessary activities for work purposes;
  • travel on compassionate grounds; and
  • travel required to return to your place of residence.

For guests who are needing to stay with us over the coming weeks and months, we will be supporting and encouraging social-distancing and hygiene measures, so you and your traveling companion/s remain safe, and for the safety of others. Ablution and other general facilities, including BBQ areas, will not be available. Therefore self-contained vehicles will only be accepted. This way, we will be in the best place to be able to reopen for leisure travel as soon as we are able.

We are committed to remaining open and continuing to provide accommodation options to visitors who may be in transit.

We will be contacting those who have a booking with us in March, April or May, and only confirming bookings where the need to travel is essential at this time.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please call us. Thank you for your support and patience.
