Kitchen Scraps / Bio basket
A food waste bio-basket collection service is available for residents who have a green waste bin.
Residents have been provided with a plastic bio-basket and a roll of 150 bio-bags for the collection of organic food waste. The bio-bags are then disposed of into the green organics bin for ultimate disposal by composting at VanSchaiks Bio-Gro. Residents are provided with 150 bio-bags on an annual basis to 30th June and can purchase additional bio-bags. Rolls of bio-bags can be collected from all Council offices and selected Post Offices.
Most things that once grew can be put into your organics bin for composting.
