Preparations for next year’s National Youth Week have begun with Wattle Range Council calling for volunteers 12 - 25 years to share their ideas for Youth Week events and activities.

National Youth Week is the largest annual event on the Australian youth calendar. Council’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Harriott said “Youth Week provides an opportunity to showcase young people’s talents, contributions and achievements; promote a positive image of young people; acknowledge their common interests as well as their diverse backgrounds and circumstances; and enables young people to express their ideas.”

National Youth Week grants are now available and Council invites interested young people to bring their good ideas and enthusiasm to a meeting to be held on Wednesday 5 November at the Millicent Library at 4:30pm.

These ideas will then be used to develop a program of events and activities for National Youth Week 2015 to be held 10-19 April 2015.
