Lake Leake

Lake Leake

Lake Leake is in an extinct volcano and is part of the volcanic trail. The area is popular for bird watching and the lake has boat launching facilities for fishing (Red Fin, Perch), skiing, rowing and sailing.

Weekends are the busiest time on the lake. Self-contained campers are welcome to stay onsite overnight. Clubrooms are available onsite to hire for $100 per night and include table and chairs, toilet and shower facilities.
Please call Faye Childs to book – 0418 839 085.

A public barbecue and toilets are available for day visitors. Please note these facilities are cleaned every Monday and Friday during the Summer period. During Winter months they are cleaned on a Friday. All visitors must take their rubbish with them and dispose of responsibility to help maintain this natural environment.

Volunteers from the Glencoe Progress Association maintain this wonderful lake.

Brochures are available for the Kanawinka Geopark Discovery Trail at all Wattle Range Council Visitor Information Centres in the area.
