Annual Senior of the Year Award

Each year, the Council invites nominations for its prestigious Senior of the Year Award. This accolade is designed to honor and recognise individuals aged 60 or over who have made exceptional contributions to our local community.

The award celebrates those who have demonstrated outstanding service, whether through a single remarkable achievement in the current year or through a sustained pattern of dedication over many years.

Nominating someone for the Senior of the Year Award is a meaningful way to recognise and celebrate the vital role seniors play in our community. It’s an opportunity to publicly acknowledge their efforts, inspire others, and highlight the value of community service and engagement.

"The Senior of the Year Award looks to honour and celebrate a senior who has made a significant impact on the local Wattle Range community, whether through a recent achievement or a lifetime of service."

Council encourages both individuals and groups to take this opportunity to nominate someone who has made a significant impact in your community and deserves recognition for their outstanding contributions.

Council is looking for individuals whose kindness, dedication, and community spirit have left a lasting impact.
