Beachport Boat Ramp Access
From 1 December 2025, there will be free access to the Beachport Boat Ramp and no permits will be required. This 12-month free access is a just one of a number of initiatives under the State and Federal Government’s Algal Bloom Summer Plan.
What this means for you:
- No permits required
- No boat ramp fees
- It will be completely free for all during this period.
Regular permit requirements will return on 1 December 2026.
For those who have already purchased an annual permit expiring 30 June 2026, our permit will automatically renew for 12 months from 1 July 2026, and Council will be in touch with more details.
Signage will be updated at the Beachport Boat Ramp to alert everyone to the changes.

The Annual and Professional Beachport Boat Ramp permit Fee period generally runs from July 1st to June 30th each year.
Beachport Boat Ramp Dredging
Dredging of the Beachport Boat Ramp was completed mid September 2023 with great success as seen in maps below of before and after.

Boat Storage
