From Adelaide

From Adelaide, you can either travel Via The Fleurieu Peninsula or the Murray River. These Routes have amazing views and are able to provide plenty of breaks and revive on your drive.

For a Coastal drive from Adelaide take the Main South Range Road to travel through the scenic places of Yankalilla, Victor Habour and Goolwa then travel inland to Strathalbyn through the vines to Langhorne Creek, cross the Murray on the 24hr car ferry at Wellington to join Princes Hwy at Meningie.

The more direct route via Fleurieu Peninsula takes the Victor Harbour Road from Adelaide then travel inland to Strathalbyn through the vines to Langhorne Creek, cross the Murray on the 24hr car ferry at Wellington to join Princes Hwy at Meningie.


Take the South Eastern Freeway through the Adelaide Hills, enjoy the view from the bridge over the mighty Murray and turn right at Tailem Bend to join the Princes Highway to Meningie or follow the Dukes Hwy turning right onto Riddoch Hwy for an amazing Inland experience.

From Melbourne

From Melbourne, there are many different directions to arrive from. The opportunity to explore many of the wonderful areas on the way can take in some spectacular scenery. The routes are

Starting from Melbourne, it's an easy drive taking you along cliff tops and surf beaches and through lush rainforest. Arrive at the South Australia Border via Nelson and then travel Via Mount Gambier.

Leaving Melbourne on the Western Highway via Ballarat then onto Ararat then head into the Magnificent Grampians to Halls Gap, continue west along the Wimmera Highway west past Mt Arapiles-Tooan State Park, a premier rock climbing site. The Wimmera region is a farming area with wheat and sheep farming being the main industries. Drive past Edenhope and Apsley to read the South Australian Border Via Naracoorte.
