Background:

Council is trialling this program to divert bagged tourist waste from public bins throughout coastal townships. Rubbish collected by caravaners and campers in bags can quickly fill the bins preventing use by others. To assist in keeping Beachport and Southend beautiful and support visitors responsibly dispose of waste, centrally located skip bins are being trialled to provide a more convenient and appropriate disposal option for bagged rubbish.

If any illegal dumping or overfilling of skip bins is observed, please report this to Council on (08) 8733 0900 so that it can be remedied immediately.

Any enquiries or feedback on the program can be directed to Wattle Range Council's Environmental Services Officer, Kate Fife (08) 8733 0901 or email engineering@wattlerange.sa.gov.au.
