Wattle Range Council is excited to launch its 2026 Spring School Holiday Program, offering families a diverse range of activities throughout the district during the September and October school holidays.
The "Full Throttle in Wattle" Spring School Holiday Program features more than 30 activities across the Wattle Range region, providing opportunities for children and families to get creative, explore the outdoors, learn new skills, connect with the community and make lasting holiday memories.
From sporting activities, markets and kayaking adventures to cooking classes, wildlife encounters, magic shows, gaming sessions, craft workshops and photography courses, the program has been designed to cater to a wide range of ages and interests.
Following the success of the Free Range in Wattle Range Scavenger Hunt during the last winter school holidays, the initiative will now run every school holiday break. With clues hidden throughout Beachport, Penola and Millicent, the activity encourages families to get out and explore their local towns and discover new places. Participants can collect clues from the town Visitor Information Centres, solve challenges and go in the draw to win a prize while experiencing some of the region's attractions along the way.
Council's Director Development Services, Emma Clay said the program showcases the incredible experiences available across the Wattle Range district while encouraging families to stay active and connected during the school holidays.
"Our Spring School Holiday Program is all about getting young people involved in their communities, trying something new and having fun close to home," Ms Clay said.
Our events program is built on strong partnerships, with community groups, local businesses, artists, volunteers and Council all playing a role in bringing these experiences to life.
Many events are free to attend, however bookings are required for selected activities. Wattle Range Council encourages families to book early, as places are limited for some sessions.
Full Throttle in Wattle program details, including dates, and times are available on the Wattle Range Council website.
