Nominations for the Wattle Range Council 2024 Australia Day Awards are now open.
Liam Mills was awarded Kintore Ward Citizen of the Year on Australia Day 2023.

Council encourages its residents to think about our ‘unsung heroes’ and give them widespread recognition by nominating them for an award.

The awards include categories for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Event of the Year, Active Citizenship and the Youth Recognition Awards (4 categories)

Award winners will be announced at the official Australia Day breakfast events on January 26th, providing an opportunity for the whole community to show their appreciation for our local heroes.

“These awards allow us to show gratitude for those who volunteer their time and energy across a broad range of activities,” says Mayor Des Noll.

“Nominees can be anyone who gives back to our community. Maybe a dedicated sporting coach, a tireless fundraiser, or a talented creative who has represented our region.   We encourage you to nominate anyone who helps make our community a great place to live and work.”

Nominations for the 2024 Australia Day Awards close at 5pm on Wednesday, 3rd January 2024.

Forms can be completed online or in hard copy which are available at any of Council’s offices or from the website at www.wattlerange.sa.gov.au/australia-day-awards
