This inaugural festivity will be in place of the usual "Stuffed Santas".
So.. get rubbish collecting! Save old tyres, pipes, rope. Maybe use old scarves as tinsel. Keep your plastic bottles, cutlery, tins and drums. Recycle egg cartons. Reuse pop sticks and chopsticks. The ideas are endless!
There are 2 categories to enter in; pint-sized trees less than 1 metre tall and big is best, taller than 1 metre.
$5 to enter and entry forms are available from Coonawarra Store, Koonara Wines and Penola VIC.
Trees will be judged from December 1
Winners drawn at the Christmas Street Party December 15.
