Pine Forest Recreation

ForestrySA manages more than 12,500ha of Native Forest across the Green Triangle forest district in the Limestone Coast, and facilitates public access to plantations leased to OneFortyOne.

These forests have long been popular for their biodiversity and abundance of natural features, such as native flowers, plants and wildlife, wetlands, limestone caves and sinkholes and provide many opportunities for recreation access.

A broader range of activities such as horse riding, bike riding, bushwalking, cave diving and Ghost Mushroom hunting are available in plantation areas.

Forest access is welcome during daylight hours and does not require a permit. The plantation lease area is run as a commercial forest and members of the public are asked to avoid all operational activity and abide by signage and access restrictions.

Please keep to established tracks when driving and respect the forest environment, including flora, fauna and forest facilities.
